Members of staff regularly take part in charitable events, and ProSpool has decided to focus on raising money for the NSPCC (registered charity numbers 216401 and SC037717). In June 2008, over 60 staff, customers & friends took part in a Big Bike Ride, raising over £3,200 for the NSPCC..
The NSPCC is the UK’s leading children's charity specialising in child protection and the prevention of cruelty to children. It runs 180 projects and services across the UK, including ChildLine, the UK’s free, confidential 24-hour helpline. In Yorkshire, the NSPCC runs several services including: therapeutic services for abused children and young people, parenting and family support teams, and ChildLine which operates a counselling centre based in Leeds. The NSPCC helps over 10,000 children and their families every year.
